A.1. Popular Keyboard Shortcuts
While they may take a little getting used to, anyone with extensive Photoshop experience can vouch for the usefulness of knowing by heart some of the most commonly used Photoshop shortcuts. Most people find that a quick tapping of the keyboard produces more efficient results for some options than using a mouse and menu. Once you get accustomed to using shortcuts, you'll wonder why you didn't use them from the start!
Table A.1 details some of the most commonly used (default) shortcuts. Note that all Toolbar and menu shortcuts found in Photoshop CS4 Standard are also found in Photoshop CS4 Extended, while the extra tools found in the Extended edition are not found in the Standard edition (see Table A.2).
