Fixing and Enhancing Isolated Areas
Up to this point, we have concentrated on global image processes. By that I mean things that affect the image in its entirety, like color, contrast, and sharpness. Those are all essential skills, but what if there is a smaller area of the image that needs fixing? That’s where selections, masks, and layers can really come in handy. There are also specialized tools that help fix little problems such as dust and unwanted items in your image. This is where we start moving from casual image fixer to retouching pro, and it’s easier than you might think.
