Why does the profile say “Embedded” for my photo?


Camera Calibration profiles only applies to RAW file format photos. Photos that are already rendered to JPEG, TIFF, or PSD show Embedded as the profile in the Camera Calibration panel.



When I export photos, how do I see them in Lightroom without having to import them after exporting?


When you export photos, especially RAW files to TIFF or JPEG files, you often want the exported files to be available in your Lightroom catalog. Rather than having to export and then import the files, you can do it all at once in the Export dialog box. Follow these steps:

1. Select the file or files to export. Select Export from the File menu to open the Export dialog box.

2. Choose Hard Drive from the Export To pop-up menu at the top of the dialog box. You must choose Hard Drive.

3. Choose any option except Choose folder later from the Export To pop-up menu in the Export Location area of the dialog box.

4. Select the Add to This Catalog check box. If you selected Same folder as original photo from the Export To pop-up menu in the Export Location area, you can stack the exported photo with the original.
