Although JIT might be the front-page story in PHP 8, reclassifying engine warnings deserves some attention. Warnings are not particularly sexy or intriguing at all. This addition to PHP 8 has caused a lot of discussion, mainly focused on logging errors: Is an error a bug? Should we keep these in code? Do we need to force people to code without bugs? This gets deep fairly quickly. ...
