For a couple of years now, PHP has been one of the pre-eminent methods for creating dynamic Web applications. Its popularity, which expanded greatly after PHP 3, has solidified with PHP 4. With legions of smart, able programmers using PHP, it was not surprising to see the language extended beyond its original purpose of creating Web sites.
