Study Strategies

Use index cards (ideally, of different sizes and different colors) to help you study:

  • Prepare large index cards for each of the laws. Make note of important facts, dates, and details relating to each law. On the back of the card, in pencil, jot down names of relevant cases.

  • Prepare small index cards for case law. On each card, write the name of each court case that is relevant to this functional area (don't forget to include cases that were decided after this book was published).

  • On a third—and slightly larger set of index cards—jot down key learning points from each case. Like you did with the larger set of cards, write the name of each case in pencil on the back of the card.
