“Recruiting and selection” are often thought of as a single process. In fact, however, they are two separate components of the staffing process and need to be executed accordingly. “Recruiting” is the process of attracting and creating a pool of qualified candidates. “Selection” is the process of identifying the candidate(s) to whom the position will be offered.
