Beginning with the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (the first major civil rights legislation), a series of laws has been enacted in an effort to end unlawful discrimination in all terms and conditions of employment. These laws fall under the broad category often referred to as related to as “equal employment opportunity,” or EEO.
