Taft-Hartley Act (also known as the Labor Management Relations Act), 1947

An amendment designed to remedy what the Republican Congress saw as two major omissions in the NLRA (Wagner Act): first, the identification of behaviors and practices that would be considered ULPs on the part of unions, and second, a provision that would allow the government to issue an injunction against a strike that threatened national interests.
