Create a Mood

The next major option you have when working with flashes is to create or change the existing mood of a location, usually indoors. Why should we be saddled with a standard mood that doesn’t inspire anyone? Isn’t the point of lighting to bring life to a photograph? Locations are, for the most part, very neutral and boring. Without doing something about the mood at a location, the result is often very predictable photos. They might be nice photos, but they won’t have that “Wow!” factor.
