I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
18. Execution
This execution portion of the book ties everything together. Four elements remain foremost in my mind whenever I’m doing a photo shoot: Lighting through Direction, Simplicity through Subtraction, Beauty through Angles, and Perspective through Lenses. By remembering these four elements, I know I will produce great work, regardless of what equipment I’m using and who, where, or when I’m shooting.
I created the Execution chart out of my own needs. As a wedding photographer, I shoot in locations chosen for me, at a time of the couple’s choosing, and with more emotions and family dynamics swirling around than a TV drama.
