Four Ways to Use Pinterest with Your Facebook Account

Pinterest has incorporated lots of great tools that work with the Facebook platform, which means there are lots of ways to leverage pins in the Facebook world.

1. Connect Pinterest with your Facebook timeline. In Chapter 2, we discussed how you can connect your Pinterest activity with your personal Facebook profile. When you take this step (via your profile settings) you integrate your Pinterest account with Facebook’s timeline feature. This means that any content you pin on Pinterest also gets published to your Facebook profile. And don’t worry about overwhelming your Facebook friends with constant publication of individual pins; your images get grouped, so Facebook will publish a few at a time, in one collection.
2. Liking Pinterest boards. You can also “Like” the individual boards of other users. Simply click on the board, then click on the “Like” button right under the title of the board. You’ll be prompted to add a note, which will be published on Facebook with your link to the Pinterest board. Liking boards in this way can be really useful for your business, because it allows you to share whole collections of useful resources with your audience on Facebook (and add your comments about why those collections are important).
