When Tact Is Required

Maria was in a dilemma. She needed to write a letter thanking the man who had spoken at the monthly meeting. Unfortunately, he was a flop. His talk was poorly organized, he had technical problems with his slide show, and he bored his listeners.

“What can I do?” she asked Lee.

“You need to acknowledge the effort and thank him tactfully without exaggerating his talents,” said Lee.
