Chapter 5: Tactics for toddlers

I define the toddler years as the period from ages one to three. The toddler years can be such a gorgeous time. Over this period I have the opportunity to watch my child’s personality develop, and to see them making sense of their place in the family and further exploring the world around them. As toddlers acquire new skills and practise existing ones, they need support, encouragement and boundaries.

Toddlerhood is the time when I’ve found I need to begin disciplining my kids. The word discipline has such a negative connotation to many parents.
