Chapter 13: Stress-free birthday parties

I love kids’ birthday parties. I have fond memories of my own and going to my friends’ houses for parties as a child. In recent years there’s been a growing trend towards outsourcing kids’ parties. While these types of parties are lots of fun, they don’t always suit our family budget or philosophy. We usually choose to stay with the traditional home birthday party.

The thought of having 15 kids ready to party on your doorstep can be a little terrifying, but with some planning I’ve been able to keep within the family budget and spread out the work involved so it’s enjoyable for the kids and doesn’t drive me insane!
