Discussions on the Industrial Application of SIS

Abstract

Burner management systems in fossil fuel plants demand safety instrumented function, which is partly reflected in NFPA. The most sensitive turbine protection safety instrumentation system (SIS) is also recommended. Gas turbines handle explosive gases and naturally demand life cycle study for safety. Nuclear plants demand complete compliance with the highest safety integrity level requirements and SIS. Nuclear power generation utilizing fusion technology is not an exception.
