Java and XML in Action

This section describes a prototype of an application developed for Regent University's School of Business (http://www.regent.edu/acad/schbus/).

The Project

As you've already seen, Regent University's School of Business divides each course into a series of sections, each of which is divided into modules. Each module, in turn, has one or more learning objectives, and requires various resources such as texts, journal articles, and computer files.

A syllabus describes a particular course being offered in a particular semester. One syllabus can cover multiple course offerings. Each offering is led by a faculty member, who might be assisted by other faculty who are specialists in the module topics.
