Checking Your Network Configuration
If the Error Log and Device Manager report no obvious network problems, you should check to be sure that your computer or computers are configured properly; an incorrect setting can certainly mean the difference between networking and net-not-working. In this section, I'll describe several ways to check whether Windows is correctly configured. You'll notice that several of the tools provide the same information; you can check them all out and choose the tools that you like best.
Ipconfig
