Chapter 15 Work smarter, not harder
If you have reached this stage of the book there is a great chance that you are actually prepared to do whatever it takes to get what you want out of life. According to publishing services firm Jenkins Group, only 57 per cent of books are read to completion. If you have come this far, you obviously believe in yourself. You have a vision for what is possible and a desire to execute the actions required to get what you want. You are committed.
Once you are truly committed to making changes to get the results you want there are some powerful things you can do to leverage that commitment, to step things up a level and gain some extra momentum. These are the tools I used to fast-track my success.
Peer group
Surround yourself with people who are playing a bigger game. Find people who want the same things out of life you do. It's easy to get caught up with a group of people going nowhere, because like-minded people are attracted to one another and tend to hang out together.
Often people in poor relationships get together and complain about their partners. People who are overweight hang out in fast-food outlets. Fitness fanatics get together with other fitness fanatics. Rich people hang out with rich people. We tend to mix with people who support and reinforce our behaviours.
