Working within the time restrictions is the most significant challenge for the creative team involved with a Play Reading. While short rehearsal periods are common with many full productions, using time purposefully is mandatory with Play Readings.

Rewrites

Playwrights may make minor changes in the text during rehearsal for a Play Reading but not major rewrites. Submitting a work in need of substantial revision is a premature step that might compromise the play’s future.
