If you’re not yet in the work world, then much of what you’ve been evaluated on is content—the ability to master specific areas of knowledge or expertise and your skill in developing concrete solutions or concepts or in performing defined tasks well. When it comes to content, the criteria are pretty clear for measuring whether your performance is better than someone else’s performance.

In the work world, you begin to be evaluated increasingly on process—your ability to make things happen, to get things done.
