Unwanted sounds and background noise are inevitable in audio recording. Getting a clean recording without any glitches or background noise can be time-consuming and difficult. Audacity has many tools to make this process easier, but it still does take some effort.
Removing Glitches
After you’ve finished a recording which you’re otherwise happy with, it’s time to get rid of any glitches in the recording to make it sound as clean and professional as possible.
By a glitch, we mean a click, pop, scratch, or any other sound that you don’t want to be a part of your final recording. This could even include a sneeze or a telephone ringing, if you want to edit it out.
