Podman is a tool for launching Linux containers. Linux containers require a Linux kernel. As much as I’d love to convince the world to move to the Linux Desktop like I use, most users work on macOS and Windows operating systems—perhaps even you. If you use the Linux Desktop, hooray! And if you don’t use a macOS machine, feel free to skip this appendix.
