If you run Windows, you can install OOo from the CD included with this book. But OOo is constantly being improved, so you may want to check the OpenOffice.org Web site for the latest downloadable version and install that one instead.

The CD also contains a version for Linux. However, if you’re a Linux user, your best bet is to check your distribution’s download repository for binary files made to integrate directly with your favorite “flavor” of Linux. This will make installation easier and smoother.
