Chapter 7. Rehearse Like It's the Real Thing

Situation today: Very few people rehearse the talk they are going to give. This seems to be true whether the presentation is going to be given to the executives in the company, a potential customer, or colleagues. Everyone has too much to do without the time to do it. Many people say that their rehearsal is thinking about the talk in their heads while on the way to the presentation.

People spend too much time creating too much content and, by 1 a.m. the night before the talk, they are too tired to practice.
