Don't Do Perfect

I would say from my experience that the main cause of most people's disengagement is their manager's inability to show people that they care, even if they do.

Whilst striving to be ultra efficient many managers become disconnected from their people and as a result end up being far less effective. Rather than spending time with their people and as a consequence driving the business forward, they just don't seem to realise how they appear through the eyes of their team, which is sadly all too often, too distant and too busy doing all the irrelevant things astonishingly well.
