Policy Translation: Conversion from High-Level to Low-Level
The final step in bridging the gap between the business needs and the technology being deployed is to translate the needs into a representation that corresponds to the configuration of each device that is needed to support that business need. This is the step of translating the policies from high-level to low-level.
As soon as all the checks outlined in this chapter have been executed and completed successfully, the translation process is relatively simple. Of course, the translation process depends on the technology that is being used to support the specific business needs. The technology in turn drives the low-level policy specification.
