Extranet Support for the Enterprise Environment
As described in Chapter 3, enterprises establish extranets in order to automate their business processes with other enterprises, such as their contractors and suppliers. An extranet allows a business partner to access part of the enterprise infrastructure. We assume that the following entities (illustrated in Figure 9.3) are involved in establishing the extranets that are examined here:
