Poly-Modeling Basics
In this chapter we are going to review quickly some powerful techniques that are going to make the modeling process much more efficient, controllable, and intuitive. This chapter will lay the basic groundwork for all of the upcoming exercises in the remainder of this book. The most basic, and in my opinion most powerful, technique we are going to employ throughout the rest of this book is a simple technique known as “shift–drag.” Shift–drag can be used with most of the subobject elements (Vertex, Edge, Border, Polygon, Element) with great ease.
