Organic/Soft-Edge Modeling
In this chapter we are going to model an organic form, a Marine Iguana. The techniques we are going to implement can be used to model any organic form, from humans to insects, characters to creatures. As I take you through the process make note of the structure of the mesh and the use of edge loops in critical areas—the areas that would deform when animated. As with any project, you should start by using a search engine to collect reference images that will aid you in the modeling process.
