Abstract:
Inorganic and organic substances can be combined to form hybrid materials for application as ionic conductors. This association is attractive as it can favorably combine the properties of both materials. This field has attracted an ever-increasing interest due to the potentially promising applications of such electrolytes, not only in solid state rechargeable lithium or lithium ion batteries, but also in other electrochemical devices such as supercapacitors, electrochromic windows, solar cells and sensors.
