Project portfolio governance involves the processes used to identify, select, prioritize and monitor projects within a company or line of business. The foundation of these processes should be the strategy and guiding principles of the company. With a firm foundation, ongoing governance and oversight are able to proceed down the path to arrive at the strategic destination.
