The main purpose of this book is to present a conceptual framework that could be applied to improve the effectiveness of corporate responsibility initiatives. In a multidisciplinary environment where context is critical, this is no easy task. The intention is to guide thinking and actions, not to provide solutions. The framework is conceptual and based on theory that will be introduced in the next chapter.
