The topologies of DC–DC converter are designed to meet specific demand of DC loads. There are several types of DC–DC converter that can be functioned as switching-mode regulators that can regulate the unregulated DC voltage with conversion to suitable utilization voltage through increasing or decreasing the value of DC output voltage by using power switching devices for pulse width modulation (PWM) switching at a fixed frequency which are buck, boost, buck–boost, cuk, single-ended primary inductor converter (SEPIC), and flyback–boost converter.
