FRAN ALLEN has made outstanding contributions to the field of programming languages for almost 40 years, and her work has significantly influenced the wider computer science community. Ms. Allen is a pioneer in the field of optimizing compilers. Her achievements include seminal work in compilers, code optimization, and parallelization.
