PURPOSE OF THE STUDY
The overall purpose of this project was to investigate the mentoring relationships of high-profile individuals to learn about todayâs mentoring relationships and how they might differ from past traditional mentoring relationships. In reviewing the academic literature on mentoring, we realized that although many details of some of the more traditional views of mentoring exist, researchers have only begun to look at how the challenges in todayâs work world might call for different forms of mentoring relationships, or mentoring relationships that require different types of relationships skills.
