PoE State-Machine Diagrams
In this chapter, we have split into several pages and figures what are just a couple of pages in the AT standard. The idea was that each state-machine diagram originally need a lot of going back-and-forth for the novice reader. A “simple” term like “power_ applied” in the state-machine diagram may need to be researched all over the standard to see on which exact page it was defined. We were lucky if we had a searchable PDF version. Timers were also defined at various places, but their numerical values could only be found in another referred-to table.
