7.0. Condensate System

After work done at the turbine the steam gets exhausted; this exhausted steam is cooled in the condenser to form condensate system. In addition to that, various leakages, drains, and make up finally coming to condenser system constitute the total condensate system. Exhausted steam is cooled at the condenser, then put in to the cycle by condensate extraction pump (CEP). Since it also receives water from other sources, plus possible leakage in the circulating water (CW) system of the condenser, it is possible for the water to be contaminated.
