4. Integrated DCS–DDC MIS: Preamble
The title of this clause is enough to confuse the reader. DCS is enough to include the entire control system. Now the question is what is meant by DCS here? And why is it so? In this clause it is meant to indicate Distributed Control System—intended to mean a control system in which various functionalities are distributed to its basic subsystems/components to perform the entire function. There could be geographical distribution as well. This DCS may be conceived as DDC MIS.
