10.1 Introduction
The transient energy function method of power system transient stability analysis is a relatively “young” method. Most of the research and development effort on the method has been devoted to the improvement of the method itself as a tool of analysis and to the investigation of its usefulness for certain power system applications. These applications took precedence over others because of industry needs (and hence industry support of the work). The previous chapters were devoted to these improvements and applications.
