About The Mulberry Partners

In 2002, Betsy Polk and Maggie Ellis Chotas found themselves contemplating their next career moves. Both were thinking about additional advanced degrees when they recalled the words of Maggie’s mother, “When women think about changing careers, they think they need something else—another degree or more credentials; men just change careers.” Motivated by that insight, Betsy and Maggie wove together their complementary skills and formed The Mulberry Partners. Since then, Mulberry has become a leader in strategic planning and leadership development for community-focused organizations, schools, and municipalities.
