Conclusion

PB continues to evolve as a distributed application development tool and the future will bring further expansion into other areas. Two areas are considered hot topics: deploying PB components into application servers other than EAServer, and accessibility to the .NET Framework. The groundwork for .NET is already forming in the product.

The remainder of this book will go into much more detail on the various elements of distributed processing, and this chapter, in conjunction with Chapter 1, “Introduction to Distributed Application Development,” and Chapter 3, “Introduction to EAServer,” will give you an introduction that should enable you to start off on familiar ground.
