Objectives

JavaServer Pages or JSPs are one of the many technologies currently available to create dynamic Web content—content based on input from a database or computed from a variety of other information. These technologies—Active Server Pages (ASP), Cold Fusion (CFM), and PHP to name a few—allow Web targets to be both robust and complex. Pundits in each of these technologies can tell you why their particular brand of tools is better than any other and yet they all have their benefits and drawbacks. Regardless of your particular choice of Web target languages, they all have some similarities.
