Monitoring EAServer Entities
For monitoring the components, database connections, and other network throughput, a Java user interface called Jaguar Manager is provided with EAServer. This application is built on the Sybase central paradigm that you may be familiar with using to manage Adaptive Server Enterprise or PowerDynamo Web sites. Jaguar Manager, in turn, is simply another EAServer client application that uses the Jaguar::Monitoring interface to present the runtime monitoring statistics. Using this interface yourself, your applications can access the same statistics as shown in Jaguar Manager to provide an alternative monitoring service or even to perform application self-tuning.
