So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Relationships Are Hard.
Hierarchy and visual weight.
Just as you rank a hand of cards in a game of poker, you also need to rank the information you are communicating with your design. What do people need to know first, second, third, and fourth? This is important to identify at the start of the designing process so that you can design for it. There is nothing worse than a design where everything is yelling at you for attention because, just as in life, you won’t be able to hear anything being said. The same goes if everything is whispered—you still don’t understand the message. This is where the importance of hierarchy comes in.
