You will undoubtedly be dealing with many “types” of mentees, from tire-kickers to dedicated secondary or tertiary growth businesses. The scenarios below represent a cross-section of the mentees you will be dealing with.
Ready, set, and (almost) go: By far, the best category of mentees with which to work are the prepared or semi-prepared would-be entrepreneurs. They will have done their research and homework. They have likely qualified their intended business model. They are super-receptive, and your chances of mentoring them to a successful conclusion are highly achievable.
