SharePoint 2010 can be installed in either of two ways: using a wizard that takes you through the different steps or by using a script. Using the scripted installation option not only gives you more options to control the setup, but it also provides the opportunity to reuse the script over and over again to achieve the exact same result. Therefore, a scripted installation should be a part of your disaster and recovery plan to make sure you can quickly rebuild your environment in case of a disaster.
