Organizational culture and socialization processes

I recently conducted a study of the perceptions of library science students and practicing librarians on the use of case studies in library science education. Of the 34 librarians who responded to the survey, half had eight or more years of experience. This group, consisting as it did of many veteran library staff, several of whom had significant administrative experience as well, indicated that case studies were a valuable learning tool. It is important to note, however, that in their comments they listed some caveats.
