A common scenario in 3D modeling using surfaces is to have two separate surfaces and you want to connect them using a smooth curved surface. The Blend surface command is just the tool for the job. To start the blend surface command, you can type SURFBLEND (or just use the short version and type SURFB) and then press Enter. Alternatively, the Blend surface tool button is located in the Create panel on the Home tab in the 3D Basics workspace, as shown in the following diagram, and if you are using the 3D Modeling workspace, you can find it in the Create panel on the Surface tab, as shown here:
