Happiness, Work, and Flow
Work, it seems, makes most of us happy. When professor Robert Weiss surveyed people about whether they'd continue to work “if they had inherited enough to live comfortably, roughly 8 out of 10 people said yes.”[17] In 1999, Steve Jobs had this to say about his work: “If I didn't enjoy it, I'd be on a beach somewhere....Why bother, when running Apple and Pixar is so much fun?”[18] And Time Warner's vice chairman Ted Turner had this to say about his feelings when he signed a $165 billion deal with America Online: “I did it with as much excitement as I felt the first time I made love some 42 years ago.”[19]
Find something that you love to do and you will never work another day in your life.
